Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry: Become a Volunteer

Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry wouldn't be able to function without the help of its dedicated volunteers. Over 150 people give a few hours a week of their time to help with the various tasks at our offices, which include:

• Interview clients
• Organize/distribute donated goods
• Assist in food pantry
• Deliver Meals on Wheels
• Help with administrative work
• Serve as receptionist
• Assist GED instructor

About the Ministry

The Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry is a team of committed Christian churches, staff, and volunteers who work together with the community in response to God’s call to provide vital services for our neighbors in need, both local residents and stranded travelers.

In an atmosphere of compassion, love, hope, and encouragement, we seek to assist those who are experiencing hardship to meet both basic and emergency needs. Beyond their immediate relief, we make available a variety of life-enhancing opportunities for job placement, job training, and educational advancement.

Ultimately, the mission of the Ministry is to help its clients maximize their God-given potentials.
